About:

Hoffman Ag Service, LTD began as a family owned farming venture. Dale Hoffman and his sons, Vaughn and Larry operated the farm and eventually started selling fertilizer and seed out of the shop to provide for local farmers. The Hoffman family also provided trucking services for farmers to transport grain down to Toledo.

In 1979, Dale Hoffman wanted to expand the business into a grain elevator located in Marengo township. The elevator provided a great opportunity for the business making Dale Hoffman & Sons elevator a more full service ag retailer. Farmers were able to pick up their fertilizer and market their grain at one location. The elevator also sold Purina Feeds up until the late 1980’s and soon after they began handling chemical products.

In 2008 the DuPont Pioneer® seed side of the business received a new warehouse complete loading dock, bulk seed treatment system and office. The operation expanded again in 2011 with the addition of two 140,000 bushel bins and a new soybean intake system.

Hoffman Ag Service, LTD has grown and evolved over the years into a full service ag retailer. We pride ourselves on the outstanding service and relationships that we have provided our customers with throughout the years and promise to continue that into the future.
